The 2017 festival artwork was created by Art by Jackie (Jackie Holloway) of Knoxville.  Ms. Holloway creates a wide variety of two and three dimensional art as well as crafts and has exhibited at The Emporium on Gay Street.

Visual Art Judging
Amateur Adult and Youth
Judged Quilt Competition

Submissions for judging for all ages and categories of visual art  are accepted at Cove Lake State Park Pavilion/Recreation Building, Thursday before the festival. All entries will be exhibited during the festival and must be claimed 5:30 to 6:30 pm that day.

This competition is open to all amateur artists in three age divisions:

  • Adults (19 and above)
  • Teen (14-18)
  • Youth (not yet 14)

Only original artwork will be accepted.

Entry fees: Adults: $10 per submission; Teen: $5 per submission; Youth: $2. Fees (paid by cash, money order, or check made out to Campbell Culture Coalition) must be paid upon submission. No piece may qualify for judging if entry fee is not paid. Entry forms provided at arrival Thursday.

Entry forms will be provided upon arrival (no advance entry required). Entrant is responsible for selecting correct category for each item.

If you're offering your entry(s) for sale, you may indicate this when submitting for judging. Maximum of 3 entries per quilter.

Entry fee: $10 per item. Fees may be paid by cash, money order, or check made out to Campbell Culture Coalition, and must be paid upon submission.

Entries must be the work of the person(s) entering the quilt. Kit quilts composed of pattern, fabrics, and quilting designs packaged as a unit for retail sale will not be accepted.

All submitted quilts must have been made within the last three years.

All entries must be reclaimed between 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
